Jl. Sudirman-Thamrin Sidewalk Widening is Targeted to Finish in July 2018

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat said, sidewalk widening will be conducted between 8-15 meters on Jl. Sudirman-Thamrin which is targeted to finish in July 2018.

It is targeted to finish in July 2018 and will be operated in August in conjunction with Asian Games

"We will hold groundbreaking by the end of September or early October. It is targeted to finish in July 2018 and will be operated in August in conjunction with Asian Games," he said on Wednesday (9/13).

He explained, along sidewalk will be equipped with one bicycle lane. Barriers that separates slow and fast lanes will be removed to widen the road.

"For sidewalk widening, we will start from Benhil to Monas," he mentioned.

He also added, after construction is completed, vehicle access towards building is asked not to go through sidewalk. Thus, he wants managements of all building along Jl. Sudirman-Thamrin to have vehicle access through rear or side of the building.

"Those building must have in and out accesses through building's side or rear. Not just through the front," he closed.
